Online broadcasting platform Twitch has hired Wargaming global marketing director Rahim Attaba as its new director of commerce in EMEA.
Attaba will be responsible for growing economic activity on Twitch in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, focusing on Twitch Game Commerce, subscricriptions for partners and affiliates, and Cheering and Bits.
He’ll also be tasked with reaching out to publishers and developers to connect them with the Twitch platform.
"In my 15 years in the games industry, I have never seen so many new opportunities for publishers and developers to connect with gamers like I have seen on Twitch,” said Attaba .
“Twitch is an ecosystem where viewers, creators, and game publishers work together and support one another. With that, my goal is to ensure that European content creators continue to benefit from Twitch and the growing portfolio of monetization tools we provide."
Attaba previously worked as global marketing director for Wargaming Alliance, the World of Tanks developer’s program for third-party titles such as Total War: Arena.
He’s also held roles at companies such as Rift publisher Trion Worlds and Gigantic developer Motiga.
