Paula Kaplan returns to Viacom to head up digital talent and development

Paula Kaplan has parted ways with talent management agency AwesomenessTV in order to return to Viacom.

Kaplan has a rich history with Viacom; she worked at the company for over 20 years before becoming executive VP of talent and development at Viacom owned outlet Nickelodeon.

Whilst at Nickolodeon, Kaplan worked with popular kids shows such as iCarly, Drake and Josh and Spongebob Squarepants. She also played a part in building the annual Nickolodeon Kid's Choice Awards.

Fellow AwesomenessTV employee Kelly Day also left the company in November to become president of Viacom Digital Studios.

A viable choice

In this new role at Viacom Digital Studios, Kaplan will oversee talent management and product partnerships, and will also have a hand in creating new IPs at the company. She'll also be responsible for coordinating with Viacom's other divisions and their talent.

"Paula is a seasoned executive and a well-regarded leader in the creative community, with a track record of identifying and nurturing talent and delivering revenue-generating results.” Kelly Day said in a memo to Viacom staff on Thursday.
