New Microsoft Mixer app arrives

Today, the new improved version of Microsoft's Mixer app went live. The app was released in beta a couple of months ago, but is now officially out of beta and available today on Android and in the coming days for iOS.

The new app is a complete redesign of the existing app, with most of the changes being based on feedback from the Mixer community.

This new app makes it easier to find streams, features increased personalisation options and takes full advantage of Mixer’s interactive experiences. The app is also built on a brand new code base, which means the team can update faster than ever.

A concoction of features

The new app boasts a ton of new tools, as well as refined versions of existing tools to help customise the Mixer experience.

  • Push Notification
  • Easier Navigation
  • Enhanced Stream Page & Player settings:
  • Featured streams at the top with auto previews
  • Trending Games spotlighted on your home page
  • Search history added below the search bar
  • A new Following tab, with LIVE and recommended streams
  • New indicators to help you easily find streams using Interactive, Co-streaming, and FTL
  • An improved Profile page with links to your channel, your level, and your sparks
