Vine founder Dom Hofmann reveals new information about V2, the comeback app

Vine founder Dom Hofmann has released an update on the status of V2, the spiritual successor to popular video platform, Vine.

Hofmann took to Twitter this week to reveal information about V2's community forums.

While the tweet was brief, he gives eager Vine enthusiasts a date to look forward to.

This comes a month after Hofmann tweeted out a set of goals he had in mind for V2 back in December, in which he prioritised generosity, kindless and a zero-tolerance attitude towards toxicity.

The original Vine app was shut down by Twitter in early 2017. V2 hopes to be a rekindling of the much-missed platform, for creators old and new to share their videos.

Hofmann originally tweeted that he was working on a follow-up to the platform in November 2017.

While there's no set scope for Vine 2.0, Hofmann is tweeting regular updates on the project.
