Mobile influencer platform Jet8 is to launch an ICO to the public called J8T.
The platform connects influencers to brands and consumers, linking social analytics to a digital token system that allows micro-influencers to turn their social influence into real earnings.
According to Jet8, releasing an initial coin offering (ICO) is part of a global strategy to make its platform more accessible outside of its current operational markets of South Africa and Southeast Asia.
Big brands
Jet8 has reportedly collaborated with the likes of Nestle, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Danone, Avon, Friesland Campina, P&G, Unilever, Indofoods, and Heinz Group to compensate influencers.
The ICO will act as an extension of its existing token platform, which is also using blockchain technology.
According to the announcement, Jet8 has capped the public token sale at US$36 million, with 30% allocated for public sale at US$.10 per Jet8.
