Twitch sets a date for TwitchCon 2018

Streaming service Twitch has announced TwitchCon 2018, the fourth installment of the company's annual convention.

Twitchcon is considered to be the premier event for streamers and creators across the globe. Last year, the con brought 50,000 enthusiastic Twitch creators and fans together for a weekend of industry and community-driven panel sessions, live events and parties.

The event will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Centre between October 26-28.

Twitch has also secured a limited number of hotel rooms around the convention centre, available at a reduced rate to convention guests.

“TwitchCon has continued to grow year over year with our diverse and inclusive community playing a major role in defining the content through their feedback and participation in on-site activities," said Krystal Herring, Director of TwitchCon.

“As with our previous three conventions, we are keeping things fresh with a new location. And since San Jose has a proven track record of successfully holding major events with plenty of great places to eat and stay, it's exciting to give our attendees a new city to explore for all of the expected community meetups."
