Emma Blackery releases 'Dirt' and smashes in to the UK iTunes charts overnight

YouTuber turned pop sensation Emma Blackery has released a new single.

'Dirt' dropped at midnight in the UK last night and has already broken in to the iTunes singles chart only nine hours after it's release.

As of writing, the track sits at number 26 in the UK iTunes top songs chart.

Blackery began her career on YouTube back in 2012 and enjoyed success as a comedy vlogger. She released her first EP 'Distance' in 2013.

In 2016, Blackery went on tour with British boyband Busted.

Good apples

Blackery enjoyed a moment in the sun last year after the artwork for her 2017 EP 'Magnetised' appeared on stage at an Apple's iPhone X reveal

The focus gave Blackery an opportunity to burst out of her YouTube bubble and she's been working tirelessly on her music since.

The artist took to Twitter to express her gratitude to her fans, saying: "When I started this new journey, I never imagined so many of you would band together to bring attention to my little song, without even hearing a single note. I have never felt so appreciated and so... legitimate in my life."
