Snap kickstarts investment fund to support mobile content creators on Snapchat

The parent company of Snapchat has launched a new incubator program to support startups, creators and influencers making content for the platform.

The program, dubbed 'Yellow', will reportedly invest a nice $150k in to each team that is deemed worthy by Snap.

The lucky participants will enjoy a three month stint working from Snap's base in Venice, CA. Content creators will also be given the opportunity to have their work shared on Snapchat.

Yellow's first round will begin in September, and Snap will be taking on up to 10 projects to fund and mentor over the three months.

Snap has expressed an interest in talent creators with experience in augmented reality, interactive and narrative storytelling. The program is open to filmmakers, editors, writers and influencers, as well as startup founders.

The company is also looking for applicants covering a wealth of themes, ranging from beauty and health, to business, comedy, politics, social causes, esports and gaming.

Creators can apply to take part in the program on Yellow's website. Applications close on July 8th 2018.
