YouTuber and 'Queen of sh*itty robots' Simone Giertz has revealed that she has a brain tumour.

In a recent video, Giertz explains that she is suffering from a 'pretty substantial' brain tumour. The positive news is that the tumour is 'non cancerous and benign'. 

However, Giertz will need to undergo brain surgery in May to have the tumour removed. Giertz risks becoming blind in her right eye or paralysed on the right side of her face.

"Being faced with something like this really helps put a lot of things in to perspective," Giertz says in the video.

"I know the things I was worrying about last week feel so small now." 

Giertz has been creating YouTube content since 2016. She's primarily know for building over the top robots to perform every day tasks badly. In 2016, Insider did a spotlight video on her creations.
