Do your kids dream of becoming influencers? We've got you covered

Christmas is always a weird time for toys. There's always a new gadget or gimmick, and every medium becomes a haven for children's advertising.

This might be the weirdest (or best) one we've seen so far.

Introducing the 'Influencer Princess' playset. Gone are the days where little girls would aspire to cook and clean, and look after children.

Why would you do that when you can make a living from making other people spend money on the internet?

Our translation may be a little off, but the advert lists a number of popular social media sites, and then goes on to say "Manipulate your friends and make them followers" and "Monetise your friends!"

There's even a microwave in there, a popular accessory for the 2017 YouTuber.

We're almost certain that it's a joke, but the concept seems believable enough. The demographic for social influence gets younger and younger every year, and soon it'll become just as lucrative and viable a career choice as becoming an astronaut, or a mermaid.
