The latest influencer-marketing platform targeting the games industry is ggContent, which is launching a closed-alpha test to showcase its technology.
Its US-based parent company GG Content Inc is signing companies up for its alpha between 7 September and 31 October, waiving all its fees bar payment-processing costs during the test period.
The company will give alpha-testers access to a private Discord server, and hopes that their feedback will refine its service before its commercial launch.
"There are more games being released at a faster rate than ever on the largest PC game digital distribution platform in the world," said founder Logan Williams in a statement.
"Content creators were once low hanging fruit, but that time has passed. It’s gotten harder than ever to catch the attention of these content creators and I believe ggContent can be an excellent solution to this problem."
His company is far from the only firm trying to solve this problem for the games industry. Responses to the ggContent alpha will provide an indication of whether this platform can carve out a role for itself.
The company is promising developers that its filters will help them find suitable influencers "in seconds", with a credit-based escrow payment system ensuring that those influencers only get paid when they deliver on the agreements of their partnerships.
"Our goal is to make ggContent the easiest place for video game makers and content creators to connect and create excellent sponsored content," claims the company on its site.
