To do this, we send your email address to Facebook in "hashed" form, which means we convert it into a string of numbers that cannot be reversed to reveal your email address. When Facebook receives the hashed data, it matches it against its own list of hashed data and if it has a hash which corresponds to your email address it will present our advertisement to you. By entering a Steel Media website competition you are agreeing for your name, email and answers to be recorded for the purpose of contacting you with news, information and offers which we feel would be of interest to you, and for contacting you in the event that you are a finalist or winner. You may be disqualified from being eligible from winning the Competition if you have not supplied those details either at the time of entry or via updating your profile/user page. We do not pass your details on to any third party unless we have explicitly declared this at the time of entry and in this instance will be as a term of entry specified by the Competition sponsor.
