Talent agency IMG launches influencer-marketing platform

Talent-management agency IMG has launched a new platform for influencer marketing called IMG Engage.

The company says it will help brands choose influencers to work with, but will also handle the management of the campaign itself, including paying to boost influencers’ posts if needed.

“It’s really a full service agency as opposed to just an influencer selection platform,” IMG’s VP and head of talent David Malina told industry website Mumbrella.

“Once we have gone through the KPI setting, talent selection, there is the on boarding of the talent and then there is the management of the campaign and the content when it is live in market.”

IMG Engage will focus on influencers with audiences ranging from 15,000 to 500,000 followers, with more than 350 already signed up to the platform. IMG says its network has 14.9 million fans and nearly 312k daily engagements already.

Mumbrella also reported on another IMG initiative: an app called Real Followers which, logically enough, analyses influencers’ followings to weed out real fans from fake accounts.
