HelloWorld is making a return in 2018 with some much needed changes

If you cast your minds back to October 2017, you'll remember a little event called HelloWorld.

HelloWorld  was a consumer event hosted at the Genting Arena in Birmingham, pitched as an ‘immersive experience’, where fans could get up close and personal with their favourite influencers and YouTubers, all whilst enjoying a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

However, the event did not go as planned. Angry attendees took to the internet to complain about the event not delivering on a number of the promises and experiences promoted. Creators hit out at the organisers, saying that HelloWorld failed because it "just had pound signs in their eyes".

Hello 2018

Despite criticisms, the HelloWorld team has pulled together to create a second instalment for 2018. CEO Adam Perry has said that a lot of the existing experiences will return to HelloWorld, as well as some new plans.

Speaking to TenEighty, Perry describes the event as “an unmissable event with surprising moments created by unique collaborations between our audience’s favourite online creators".

The team are aware that the first event suffering from teething issues, and said they are working hard to address them in time for HelloWorld 2018.

“A very small percentage of our audience didn’t have the experience they hoped for and were vocal in expressing that, but a large majority of the 10,000 people that attended HelloWorld 2017 had a great time," Perry said.

“We listened to all the feedback, we know what worked and therefore we’re in a fantastic position to make 2018 everything our fans loved about HelloWorld, and more.”

HelloWorld 2018 is yet to be formally announced, but details on a venue and date will be coming soon.
