Magazine, music and TV giant Bauer Media has announced the introduction of its own influencer network.
Mumbrella quotes Bauer general manager Jane Waterhouse telling an audience at the Mumbrella360: “We are pleased to announce the launch of The Associates which is our influencer network and this network is a combination of Bauer talent, industry talent, micro, macro and mega influencers.
“It is a data-driven network where we’ll be pairing our advertisers with our brands and influencers to make sure that we’ve got the strongest commercial opportunity on the table when we speak to our clients.”
Print is/isn't dead
The move comes as part of the German company’s digital push under CEO Paul Dykzeul. It has over the last year ramped up its digital interests while at the same time scaling back print and restructuring its management. It insists, however, that its print business is not currently threatened.
Bauer’s brands include magazine Kerrang, Mojo, Bella, Take a Break, TV Choice, Total TV Guide and Parkers Car Guide. It also owns the Absolute Radio Group and TV network The Box.
