Italian trade body AESVI is partnering together with GamesIndustry.biz and The Yogscast as official partners for this year’s Italian Video Game Awards 2019.

The awards have been set up to celebrate the artistry and creativity of video games and will take place on April 11th 2019 in Rome.

This marks the first time the IVGAs has partnered with multiple international entities, and it'll help increase the international outreach of the event.

“The Italian Video Game Awards is a wonderful occasion to spread the word about the Italian games industry… Italy is one of the top five markets in Europe with a turnover of 1.5 billion euros," said AESVI Chairman Marco Saletta.

"We are also facing a positive growth on the development side with Italian game studios being exposed on the global scene for their valuable productions. For one night, the spotlight will be on us and we hope this will help our country to be taken into account as the big player of the global industry.”

When in Rome

More than 20 different awards given out during the show, including a number of GI.biz sponsored Special Recognition Awards to honour the most successful individual in the Italian industry and the most successful Italian games company.

The Yogscast CEO Mark Turpin, also added: “we are excited to be covering such a coveted award ceremony, With it being an international first, we can’t wait to get started on bringing our viewers all of the action and excitement as it happens.”

The jury selected for the IVGAs will be composed by various journalists from general and specialised press, as well as different online influencers. The IVGAs will take place on Thursday, April 11th 2019 at the Acquario Romano in Rome.
