Dr Disrespect banned from Twitch following IRL broadcast in a bathroom

Twitch personality Guy 'Dr Disrespect' Beahm has been banned from the platform after broadcasting footage from a bathroom to his channel.

Beahm was attending was E3 in Los Angeles this week, and the footage was taken in a male bathroom inside the Los Angeles Convention Centre. According to an E3 representative, his badge has also now been revoked.

While Twitch does not have a rule against streaming in bathrooms specifically, it lists "unauthorised sharing of private information" in its community guidelines. This covers invasion of privacy. It's also against the law to view a bathroom via a camera in California.

In the stream, Beahm is seen entering the public bathroom several times, before yelling 'bodyguard' inside the room. The camera captures multiple individuals using the urinals, including what appeared to be a minor.

Twitch is yet to clarify the exact reason behind Beahm's ban or how long it'll be in effect, but it's fair to assume that breaking the platform's TOS and California state law in one swoop could be contributing factors.
