The body of missing YouTuber Desmond 'Etika' Amofah has been identified, according to the New York Police Department.
29-year-old Amofah has been missing since June 19th. On Monday, a number of his belongings were found abandoned on New York's Manhattan Bridge.
Amofah has a history of mental health problems, and a video uploaded to his YouTube channels showed the creator discussing suicidal thoughts. The video has since been removed by YouTube.
In April, a livestream from Amofah's Instagram showed him being detained by police for alleged self-harm threats. He was discharged later that day.
Tributes to the creator are flooding into Etika's subreddit, and fellow creators and members of the gaming community are sharing messages of support on Twitter.
