Daily Hive launches new influencer support initiative ID Agency

Canadian outlet Daily Hive has launched a new influencer agency with the aim of promoting creators and influencers in the country.

The company, called ID Agency, will work to support and create opportunities for Canadian creators, including artists, filmmakers, yogis and micro-influencers.

Canadian influence

“We've seen a growing gap in the online community, especially on the West Coast, and a strong demand from our brand partners to work with local influencers who have organic engagement,” said Daily Hive co-founder Karm Sumal,

“That’s why we want to work with up-and-comers in the creative industry, helping them make a stake in the online realm. These individuals are often being overlooked by current influencer agencies.”

ID Agency has employed a new strategy when introducing influencers to brands. Their marketing will work on a cost per engagement basis, allowing companies to see exactly where their investment is going.

"Marketing departments can no longer ignore the power of influencer marketing. Social media budgets are growing, but curating the right strategy comes with many challenges. For one, verification of engagement and audience numbers is an issue. Another is the alignment of the right influencer. An influencer with a niche audience can be more powerful than one with millions of followers.” Sumal added.
