Spanish influencer startup SamyRoad secures €1.4 million to fuel European expansion

Madrid-based influencer marketing platform SamyRoad has finalised a financing round of €1.4 million.

Led by Inveready Technology Investment Group and Sabadell Venture Capital, the capital acquired will be used to expand the company in Latin America and Europe.

SamyRoad was founded in 2013, and it's main resource is a technological platform that identifies influencers’ profiles to put them in the eyes of major brands.

The company currently works with a community of 25,000 creators and influencers worldwide. in 2017, the SamyRoad reached a positive EBTIDA, while a plan was being created for expansions in Portugal and Latin America.

Global growth

“This injection of capital reinforces our expansion plan for the coming months and in this sense, Argentina and Brazil will be our main objectives in Latin America and France in Europe. We are very pleased to have closed this round with such success through these two funds. This is going to suppose the definitive impulse for our strategic growth plan.” SamyRoad co-founder Patricia Ratia said.

In the space of 5 years, the Madrid-based company has reached 26 markets, with offices in Madrid, New York, Lisbon and Mexico. During this time, 270 campaigns for 75 brands worldwide have been executed.

This recent round of financing joins the prior funding the company received from private investors, such as the Bulgari family and institutions such as Caixa Capital Risc.

As well as this, SamyRoad has acquired funds from the EU through the CDTI to invest in the development of it’s algorithm.

The company currently operates in 12 seperate industries including alcohol, banking & services, luxury, fragrance and fashion. Recent campaigns it has worked on include Estee Lauder, Avon and Cartier L’Oreal.
