The Sims 4 wants you to “bask in the limelight as an inspiring influencer” in Get Famous expansion

The Sims 4 is getting a new Get Famous expansion pack that will let players live out a career as an influencer.

As EA puts it, “sims can bask in the limelight as an inspiring influencer, livestreaming every lavish moment and giving other Sims maximum #FOMO”.

Players can also achieve superstar status through acting careers. Such A-list status will enable sims to attend exclusive parties and “experience the VIP lifestyle of their dreams”. A press release also states players will “outrun starstruck fans”, which sounds rather ominous.

Partnership

Social media star and musician Baby Ariel will get a Sim version of herself in the expansion and will appear performing songs in the game’s native language, Simlish, in public spaces around the new city of Del Sol Valley.

News of the added career option will surely be a delight to haters of popular things they don't understand and content creators that despise the term ‘influencer’.

“With The Sims 4 Get Famous, players can achieve their wildest dreams of becoming a celebrity and all of the perks that come with fame in The Sims 4,” said The Sims 4 senior producer Grant Rodiek.

“From rubbing elbows with A-list celebrities at the studio, to star-studded VIP parties in the hills, Sims can now have it all.

“The development team has added a slew of fun, humorous and lavish new gameplay content to ensure that fans, and their Sims, can experience the luxury lifestyle as they play with life, this time in the spotlight.”
