YouTube group Super Best Friends comes to an end after nine years

YouTube channel Super Best Friends Play has come to an end as its members part ways.

The channel was set up back in 2010 and is run by creators Matthew Kowalewski, Patrick Boivin and Woolie Madden. The group made comedy gaming content under the Super Best Friends brand for almost nine years.

In a recent video, the three YouTubers recorded segments explaining the reasons behind the closure.

“Super Best Friends Play is ending,” Madden said. “It doesn’t make it any easier to hear, but we’re just going to be real with you: Matt and Pat are no longer friends.”

Madden also revealed how Kowalewski and Bolvin lost their enthusiasm for creating content and explained that the business end of the brand was causing friction between them.

This isn't the end of days for the trio, though. All three YouTubers will be continuing with their own side channels. Kowalewski will be producing more games content over on his own channel, while Boivin will be streaming over on his own Twitch channel
