Finnish micro-influencer platform Boksi has raised $1 million in funding.
The round was led by Trind Ventures, as well as Nordic VC Wave Ventures, Business Finland, and angel investors.
Boksi implements technology to analyse posts from micro-influencers on Instagram allowing users to spot trends and preferences among different demographics. The company launched in the summer of last year.
“Marketers are paying to reach the followers of the influencers, not the influencers themselves," said Boski CEO Lasse Laaksonen.
"While influencer preferences are an ok proxy for follower preferences, it’s far from perfect. We are digging deeper and analysing the followers and their behaviour to better map the perfect fit between marketers and influencers.”
