G-STAR 2019 kicks off on November 14th in Busan

The annual G-STAR conference begins tomorrow, kicking off three days of games industry events and activities.

Between November 14th - 17th, the games industry will descend upon South Korea to attend the event. An annual consumer show and b2b conference rolled into one, it brings investors, publishers, game makers and gamers together in Busan.

G-STAR 2019 begins with the Korea Game Awards which take place today, followed by a welcome reception and opening ceremony for visitors.

Between November 14th and 16th G-STAR will feature the Game Industry Job Fair - which provides an opportunity for guests to meet and mingle with staff from global gaming companies. Companies exhibiting in the fair include Ubisoft RedLynx, Black Desert developer Pearl Abyss, and Rovio, known for the Angry Birds franchise.

There will also be Indie Showcase across the aforementioned days, which will see over 30 indie developers showcase their titles. G-STAR will also be the venue for the final round of Steel Media’s Big Indie Pitch competition which sees developers showcase their game in front of a panel of hand-picked judges.

G-STAR 2019 will include keynotes and talks from a huge variety of names in the gaming and technology spaces. Global giants such as Supercell, Bungie, CCP, Gearbox and Google will appear throughout the two-day event. 

Speakers attending the event include Supercell's Frank Keienburg, who works as game lead for Brawl Stars, The Sandbox Game’s Sebastien Borget, and Tae-won Yun of Super Evil Megacorp. A full list of speakers and details on each speaker's role can be found here.
