Social video app TikTok saw almost 113 million installs across Google Play and the App Store in February.
That's a record-breaking amount, according to data from Sensor Tower, making it the best month yet for both downloads and platform revenue.
TikTok was also the most downloaded non-gaming app last month. A majority of the installs came from India, which accounted for 46.6 million. Brazil followed with 9.7 million, and the US came third with 6.4 million.
In February 2019, TikTok hit 57.5 million installs. Installs month to month fluctuated lightly but since September 2019, the platform has seen nothing but growth.
Big downloads, bigger dollar
It isn't just download figures that are at an all-time high, either. TikTok generated record monthly user spending in February, surpassing $50.4 million.
China drove most of the user spending throughout February, accounting for a huge $46 million. The US was responsible for a further $3 million, and the UK closed the top three with $216,000. So while India and Brazil are driving huge install numbers, they're not responsible for the revenue.
TikTok's growth looks set to continue as March powers on. It's already proven to be a popular new app for people to try while they're stuck at home during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, so perhaps March will see yet another record-breaking amount of installs.
