YouTube embroiled in weird Roblox porn trend

Video platform YouTube is now brick-deep in another surge of completely inappropriate content.

Users are uploading videos of themselves emulating sexual acts inside Roblox, an online sandbox game for children.

This odd and quite frankly horrific sensation came to light after a seven year old girl became subject to a sexual attack inside the game.

The girl's mother spoke out to warn other parents and carers about the incident and the open nature of the game. Posting to Facebook, she said she is "shuddering to think of what kind of damage this image could have on her psyche, as well as any other child that could potentially be exposed to this."

Can we just not?

A cursory glance through YouTube's search results will bring up hundreds, perhaps thousands of videos with the words 'Roblox' and 'sex' displayed in the title. A slight insult to those creators being demonetised for lesser words.

This isn't even a new development; some videos that appear in the search are over a year old.

"YouTube's Community Guidelines clearly state that sexually explicit content is not allowed on our site."We remove flagged videos and channels that violate our policies, and in some cases, we age restrict material that, while not in violation of those guidelines, contains images that may be unsuitable for younger users." YouTube said, speaking to The Sun.

If that is the case, then perhaps more action needs to be taken against those quite blatantly abusing the platform's policies.
