New York fitness outfit SoulCycle and its parent company Equinox have joined forces to create a talent agency just for fitness influencers.
The two companies made the announcement last week. The joint talent management agency will run with support from Californian talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME). The company will start with a selection of employees from the two existing companies.
The aim is to develop social media personas and acquire large scale sponsorship deals.
Get fit, get paid
The two companies have been experimenting heavily with a variety of new modes of fitness and classes recently. At the start of the year, SoulCycle started SoulAnnex which is a yoga and cardio cycle-less studio.
“We are now poised to offer our star employees an exclusive, monumental opportunity,” said Equinox group executive chairman and managing partner Harvey Spevak in a statement.
“With our support, guidance and representation, our top talent can meaningfully grow their personal brands, develop key partnerships and ultimately generate additional income.”
Fitness influencers have recently been on the rise and showcasing a healthy lifestyle is become a lucrative way to get paid.
While we're all snaffling packs of bourbons in one sitting, some fitness creators are earning up to $26,000 per sponsored Instagram post with top brands. Massive names in fitness like Nike are also running campaigns with top influencers.
