Twitch is hosting a Fortnite tournament alongside Stand Up To Cancer

Twitch has revealed plans to host a Fortnite tournament on Friday, alongside Stand Up To Cancer.

The competition will see popular creators and celebrities face off in several rounds of the battle royale title, including Twitch favourites Mark 'Markiplier' Fischbach and Pokimane. Ex-Team Fortress 2 streamer Rachel 'Seltzer' Quirico will host the show.

Twitch will be broadcasting the event to its official channel, and it'll air from 4pm to 6pm PT on Friday 7th September.

Good influence

Stand Up To Cancer's biennal telecast event is now in it's sixth year, and Friday's event marks over ten years of raising awareness and funds for the cause.

Twitch isn't the only online platform to participate in this year's Stand Up To Cancer initiative. YouTube personalities Hannah Hart, Rhett and Link and Liza Koshy will be heading up an hour long pre-show before Stand Up To Cancer's event starts. The pre-show will be broadcast through YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and iHeartRadio.
