Pocket Gamer Connects London spotlight - Timothy Arnoo, Fanbytes

Ahead of Pocket Gamer Connects London 2019 on January 21st and 22nd we are catching up with some of the big names that we have on-stage at the show.

Today we catch up with Fanbytes CEO Timothy Arnoo. Fanbytes is a marketing company with a large focus on Snapchat, and Arnoo is here to get us up to speed with how to market to a young audience.

Tell us a bit about the company?
Fanbytes is an award-winning video influencer company helping brands like Deliveroo, Apple Music and Sony Music drive downloads on Snapchat, Musically and Instagram.

Through their unique ad formats, Fanbytes ads generate a 93% completion rate with Forbes calling them " the millennials redefining how brands market to millennials and Gen Z".

What does your role entail?
As CEO, my role entails leading the vision strategy and making sure we've got the right people to take us forward.

Why did you want to work in the games industry?
I found the constant pace of innovation to be very enthralling and something I had to get into.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to get into it?
Figure out your edge and develop from there.

What major trends do you predict in the next 12 months?
AR is going to be a massive part of the industry going ahead and I'm looking forward to seeing how new gaming companies adapt to this.

Which part of the Connects event are you most looking forward to?
Networking with cool awesome people!
