Caffeine bags two industry executives to fulfil HR and product experience roles

Content creation platform Caffeine continues to expand, bringing two new industry execs into the fold.

Jen Folse from Apple TV will step in to lead the product experience and design team, while Michelle Wagner from Evernote will be heading up HR.

Folse boasts a rich background in tech; she began her career at Apple in 2010 as a senior design producer. Her work saw her supervise the creation and release of four versions of Apple TV.

"I had every intention of staying at Apple for a long time to come,” said Folse. “But in looking at Caffeine, I felt like I was looking at a new and exciting way for people to discover and consume live content, and knew I could make an impact leading the product experience."

Wagner (pictured right) has over 20 years experience working in human resources, including senior positions at companies such as AOL, Ooyala and more recently, Evernote.

Speaking of her hire, Wagner said: "I could not be more excited to join the team at Caffeine. At Evernote, I oversaw the hiring of more than 350 people in just over two years, and I look forward to helping the incredible team and infrastructure here at Caffeine grow in a similar way. I'm thrilled to develop our culture of kindness, experience and entrepreneurship throughout the employee experience."

Making the team

“I worked with Jen for years at Apple, and could not be more excited to have her on board to shepherd our product experience, roadmap, and product design teams through the development process,” said CEO of Caffeine Ben Keighran

“She is a phenomenal product design leader and executor and I look forward to working with her as we grow the Caffeine platform.”

It's been a great year the new kids on the broadcasting block Caffeine. Since launching back in January, the company has opened two offices, one in Los Angeles and one in Newcastle, UK.

Caffeine has also been working on monetisation methods that allow creators to earn while they stream. In May, it released its own spin on digital currency
