Multi-channel network BroadbandTV is launching a new division that will help its most popular influencers launch their own mobile games.
BBTV Interactive was announced at the CES show in Las Vegas, and follows BroadbandTV's success with a game for Spanish influencer Fernanfloo, which was downloaded more than 9.5m times.
The division's next game is Squad Rivals, which will launch in closed beta later in January, and stars an (as-yet unnamed) group of BroadbandTV's gamers and vloggers.
"We’re placing an emphasis on building mobile games that are truly broadcastable. We’re in a unique position as we already work with top digital talent that each have large highly engaged audiences allowing us to directly market the apps to targeted consumers," said Lewis Ball, the company's VP of interactive, e-commerce and professional services.
BroadbandTV will be promoting its mobile games to its growing audience: it claims that its network generates more than 34bn views a month.
