Twitch has announced Squad Stream, a new tool that allows up to four streamers to showcase their broadcasts in one place.

The function allows streamers to toggle 'squad mode', which allows the host to also show off the viewpoints of friends and collaborators they're playing or chatting with.

The feature is particularly useful for displaying multiple points of view in multiplayer games, especially battle royale games and online shooters.

Twitch has an existing function that lets streamers host another streamer to their own community, but this new tool takes that a step further, allowing viewers to see multiple viewpoints in the same broadcast.

Squad Stream is only available to Twitch partners currently but is expected to roll out across the platform fully soon.
