Ninja makes TIME magazine's top 100 influential people of 2019

Popular Fortnite streamer Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins was included in the list for most influential people of 2019 for TIME magazine.

Blevins joins the list alongside 99 other influential people that have impacted the world, including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, The Pope, and Taylor Swift.

The streamer's profile info for the list was written by JuJu Smith-Schuster, a pro football player with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Smith-Schuster was also a part of the Drake/Ninja squad that crushed Twitch's viewer record last year.

Best in the world

“I play in the NFL, so you’d think I wouldn’t be star-struck much. But last March, when I- along with Drake and Travis Scott - got in a Fortnite game with Ninja for the first time, I was at a complete loss for words!" Smith-Schuster wrote in TIME.

"I was among the millions of people all across the world who had been watching Ninja play Fortnite, the popular video game, every day for months. He was the unquestioned best in the world at his craft, something I had so much respect for both as an athlete and as a fan. Now, he was single-handedly blending gaming and pop culture."

Blavins has had an insane year all round. He appeared on the Ellen show and Jimmy Fallon and was also chosen as a cover athlete for ESPN Magazine in September last year. He also recently hit 14 million followers on Twitch.
