Top 10 most watched and trending channels of the week

InfluencerUpdate.biz has teamed up with esports and streaming analytics firm Stream Hatchet to bring you weekly charts of the most popular games and creators in the streaming space.

This chart documents the most watched channels by hours across Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Mixer and Facebook.

Each week we'll be documenting the top ten most watched channels across all the major streaming platforms, so you can see which creators are growing and which ones are in decline. The chart also shows what games they play the most. Check out our chart covering the top ten most watched games of the week here.

We'll also document the top ten rising channels of the week. These are the creators that are rising fastest on their respective platforms.

This chart covers the week commencing  October 2nd to October 8th.

Biggest channels

This week's most watched channel belongs to Riot Games (main image). The channel is up 266 per cent compared to last week and has racked up 6.8 million hours. As mentioned in this week's top games chart, Worlds 2018 is sure to cause a spike for Riot flagship League of Legends.

Ninja is in second place doing his Fortnite thing, and third place is taken by a new entry - YouTube channel LoL Esports. The channel predominantly hosts League of Legends esports coverage, so its surge in views is likely to be caused by Worlds 2018.

Twitch channel Tfue has moved up to fourth with a 52 per cent increase in views this week. Shroud is in fifth with a 5 per cent drop in views; it seems a proportion of his audience isn't enjoying Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

Other fresh entries include YouTube channels Vietnam Esports and LoL Esports BR which are both hosting coverage from Worlds 2018.

Additionally, Rocket League's official Twitch channel has crept on to the chart this week. Thee RLCS Season 6 semi-finals are approaching which could be responsible for a sudden interest in the other game with 'league' in it.
