Logan Paul is now the most popular vlogger among children in the UK

Logan Paul’s reputation may have been briefly tarnished by his ‘suicide forest’ video, but the 22 year old vlogger doesn't seem to be suffering any consequences where his fans are concerned.

Research from Childwise has revealed the media habits of 2,000 children from the ages 5 to 16, and an overwhelming percentage chose Logan Paul as their preferred YouTuber.

Paul's subscriber count has increased by another million since the stunt, but he is now more popular amongst children in the UK than lifestyle creator, Zoella.

The US YouTube star took the top spot from the UK based fashion vlogger despite causing controversery at the beginning of the year, uploading footage of an apparent suicide victim to his YouTube channel.

Zoella was also under fire over Christmas, after releasing her own advent calendar. She was subject to criticism over the cost of the product, leading retailers to immediately slash their prices from £50 to £25.

Playground behaviour

Childwise research director Simon Leggett said, "Zoella losing her top YouTuber slot to Logan Paul shows that we could be moving into a new era with a change in the kind of vloggers that are popular with children."

"Children used to mainly follow wholesome, big-sister/brother types who offered chatty advice and company. "

"However, children’s favourite new vloggers are more edgy, with a style more akin to negative playground behaviour where the most popular vloggers are the ones that do the worst possible things they can get away with on YouTube."
