Snapchat now lets influencers make their own sticker packs

Snapchat is continuing efforts to become a more alluring platform for influencers.

Its latest move is giving influencers the ability to create their own sticker packs. For those unaware, stickers are essentially small, animated graphics that can be stuck over a photo or video.

This type of branding is similar to emotes found on Twitch, where streamers can have customised graphics for their fans to post in chats.

Popular graphics seen on other social networks are also making their way to Snapchat. You may recognise sticker deisgner Ketnipz from Instagram.

Creator focus

Snapchat is working to make itself a viable destination for influencer marketing. The platform recently launched its Storytellers function, inclined to connect influencers with brands. The platform has the five creators enrolled - Mike Platco, Shonduras, CyreneQ, GeeOhSnap and Georgia Copter.

"Being able to include our own branding as a native part of the platform is incredible for us creators,” Snap creator Mike 'Metz044' Metzler told Digiday.

“The fact that Snapchat is partnering with creators to roll this out is another way to show they are investing in the creator community.”
