Ogilvy UK and Takumi team up to expand global footprint

UK-based creative agency Ogilvy UK has partnered up with influencer marketing platform Takumi in order to expand access to its campaign and marketing tools worldwide.

According to Ogilvy, this partnership will enable brands to run campaigns globally, using Takumi's services to mitigate the risk of inauthentic audiences and followers.

Ogilvy's InfluenceO tool houses details for over a billion influencers across 60,000 categories. The tool is GDPR-compliant, and allows clients to vet influencers and measure engagement accurately. Takumi also offers an 11 step vetting process to locate the highest quality influencers in each country.

Phenomenal growth

“As more and more businesses are realising the impact of influence, we’ve experienced phenomenal growth in this area, especially as clients require influencer marketing not just across their offering, but across countries as well. The world of influence is changing dramatically, and brands need to harness the full spectrum of influencers to cut through the noise," said Rahul Titus, Ogilvy head of influence.

"This is a great milestone in our development as we continue to be able to work with Takumi to ensure the right brands are working with the right influencers, and we’re able to continually advocate for transparency and tackle fraud in the space.”

Takumi CEO Adam Williams adds: “we are delighted to be working on this partnership with Ogilvy, executing localised campaigns with influencers in multiple languages. Our fantastic team and multi-market capabilities have created this exciting opportunity for brands to tap into the powerful creativity and influence of our Instagram content creators at scale.”

Big year

Takumi has undergone rapid expansion this year, after unveiling its new CEO and CRO in April 2019. The company also announced further expansion into Europe at the end of June, moving into France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Switzerland.

Both Takumi and Ogilvy also triumphed at the inaugural Influencer Marketing Awards back in March. Ogilvy picked up accolades for best sport & fitness campaign and best-integrated influencer marketing campaign, while Takumi snagged the award for best relationship management tool.
